With Android Auto, you can display selected apps on your compatible Android smartphone in the MINI Interaction Unit of your MINI with Operating System 9 and operate them via the Google Assistant. To use Android Auto, you must connect your smartphone as a mobile device via Bluetooth® in the vehicle and activate Android Auto in the settings of the connected device. Wi-Fi must be enabled in the vehicle and on your smartphone.
If your smartphone no longer connects via Android Auto or the connection is repeatedly interrupted during use, carry out the following steps:
- Delete your smartphone from the list of your connected mobile devices.
- Delete your MINI on your smartphone in the Bluetooth settings.
- Delete your MINI on your smartphone in the Wi-Fi settings.
- Delete your MINI on your smartphone in the Android Auto settings.
- Switch your smartphone off and on again. Update the services in your MINI.
- Reconnect your smartphone in your MINI in the "Mobile devices" menu and select the "Android Auto" connection mode.
