What are the benefits of Apple CarPlay in my MINI with Operating System 9?

Apple CarPlay offers you a wireless connection between your Apple iPhone and your MINI with Operating System 9 for comfortable and safe use of content and apps from your iPhone in your MINI while driving. The user interface is specially tailored to the mobility requirements in the vehicle, with large, easy-to-read icons and a clearly organised display. One of the most important functions is the seamless integration of apps such as Google Maps or Waze for navigation, with real-time traffic information and route guidance. With music apps such as Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube Music, you can stream music or podcasts while driving. You can manage calls and messages via voice control with Siri. The integration of third-party apps, such as WhatsApp or Telegram, enables comfortable use of communication services. Apple CarPlay is available for MINI models with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6) and the option "Connected Navigation" (SA 7GH), "Connected Navigation Plus" (SA 7GK) or "smartphone integration" (SA 6CP) ex works. In MINI models with MINI Operating System 9, Apple CarPlay is part of the basic equipment (MINI Connected Base).
