With which mobile devices can I use Apple CarPlay in my MINI with Operating System 9?

Depending on the model and equipment of your Apple iPhone and your MINI with Operating System 9, you can display and operate your apps with Apple CarPlay in the MINI Interaction Unit. You need a compatible iPhone (from iPhone 5 with iOS 9.3 or higher) with an active data account and 5 GHz Wi-Fi support. Other mobile devices, such as the Apple iPad, do not support Apple CarPlay. Please note: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® must be activated on your iPhone. The BMW Group has no influence on mobile device compatibility and available functions.
