How can I activate or deactivate Apple CarPlay in my MINI with a MINI Controller?

Depending on the model and equipment of your MINI with a MINI Controller and MINI system with displays in the form of tiles (ID6), you can display and operate the apps of your compatible Apple iPhone with Apple CarPlay on the central instrument. After you have set up Apple CarPlay for your iPhone once, you can temporarily activate or deactivate this connection mode in the "Mobile devices" menu, e.g. to use your iPhone without Apple CarPlay or to use MINI apps or functions.

Apple CarPlay is available for MINI models with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6) and the option "Connected Navigation" (SA 7GH), "Connected Navigation Plus" (SA 7GK) or "smartphone integration" (SA 6CP) ex works. In MINI models with MINI Operating System 9, Apple CarPlay is part of the basic equipment (MINI Connected Base).
