Which data connection does Apple CarPlay use for my connected iPhone in my MINI with Operating System 9?

After the connection setup via Bluetooth®, your MINI with Operating System 9 uses a direct connection via Wi-Fi to your Apple iPhone for Apple CarPlay and terminates the Bluetooth® connection.
