What can I do if my iPhone no longer connects via Apple CarPlay in my MINI with a MINI Controller?

With Apple CarPlay, you can display selected apps on your compatible Apple iPhone on the central instrument of your MINI with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6) and operate them via Siri. To use Apple CarPlay, you must connect your iPhone as a mobile device via Bluetooth® in the vehicle and activate Apple CarPlay in the settings of the connected device. Wi-Fi must be enabled in the vehicle and on your iPhone.

 

If your iPhone no longer connects via Apple CarPlay or the connection is repeatedly interrupted during use, carry out the following steps:

  1. Delete your iPhone from the list of your connected mobile devices.
  2. Delete your MINI on your iPhone in the Bluetooth® settings.
  3. Delete your MINI on your iPhone in the Wi-Fi settings.
  4. Delete your MINI on your iPhone in the Apple CarPlay settings.
  5. Switch your iPhone off and on again.
  6. Update the services in your MINI.
  7. Reconnect your iPhone in your MINI in the "Mobile devices" menu and select the "Apple CarPlay" connection mode.
