Which apps on my smartphone can I use in my MINI with Operating System 9 via Bluetooth®?

In your MINI with Operating System 9, you can pair up to three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth®. Of these, you can use two devices as a telephone and one device for music playback or with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. When logging in with your mobile device, you can choose whether you want to use it only as a telephone, to play music files from your mobile device with Bluetooth® audio or for using selected smartphone apps with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. To do this, select the following in the MINI system when you first log in to the vehicle with your mobile device or when you subsequently select the connection mode: Apps menu > "All" > "Android Auto" or "Apple CarPlay". Android Auto supports the following functions, for example: Phone calls, message transmission, chat apps, streaming services for music, news channels, audio books, podcasts, navigation apps and the Google™ Assistant. Apple CarPlay supports the following functions, for example: Phone calls, message transmission, favourites, FaceTime Audio, music player ("Now Playing"), streaming services for music, Apple Music® Radio, iTunes, selected third-party apps such as Amazon Music and Audible, navigation app and Siri®. MINI recommends activating all functions and allowing access to your smartphone's contacts for maximum comfort. Further information about pairing mobile devices via Bluetooth® can be found in the Driver's Guide app or in the Owner's Handbook for your MINI. Please note: To use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi must be active on your mobile device and in the vehicle.
