MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the settings for the driver assistance systems in your MINI with Operating System 9.

Requirements:

• The following driver assistance systems are part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9: Drive-off Monitoring, Attentiveness Assistant, exit warning for objects approaching from behind, Evasion Assistant (depending on country of delivery and model), Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, speed limit warning, rear collision warning, "Active Park Distance Control" Emergency Braking Function, Park Distance Control (PDC), Rear Crossing Traffic Warning with brake intervention, Reversing Assistant, Rear View Camera, Speed Limit Assist, Lane Departure Warning with lane return and Lane Change Warning.
• Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires optional equipment for the following driver assistance systems: Distance Control (with SA 5AT / 5AU), traffic light detection (with SA 5AU), Trailer Assistant (with SA 235), Assisted Driving Mode (Steering and Lane Control Assistant incl. Distance Control, with SA 5AU), Assisted Driving Mode Plus (Traffic Jam Assistant, with SA 5AU), Assisted View (with SA 5AT / 5AU), exit warning for objects approaching from the front (with SA 5AU), Wrong-way Warning (with SA 5AU), Manoeuvre Assistant (with SA 5DW), Emergency Stop Assistant (with SA 5AU),panorama view (with SA 5DN or 5DW), Park Assist (with SA 5DN or 5DW), parking assistance systems with full range of functions (with SA 5DW), Front and Rear Crossing Traffic Warning (with SA 5AU), Emergency Lane Assistant (with SA 5AU), Reversing Assistant Professional (with SA 5DW), Side Collision Warning (with SA 5AU), Lane Change Assistant (with SA 5AU), Route Speed Control (with SA 5AT / 5AU) and Road Priority Warning (with SA 5AU).

Select the desired driver assistance system in the category:

• Safety and warnings: Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Side Collision Warning, Road Priority Warning, exit warning, "emergency stop" (Emergency Stop Assistant), Attentiveness Assistant, speed limit warning.
• Parking: Crossing Traffic Warning, Park Distance Control (PDC), Active PDC Emergency Braking Function, Drive-off Monitoring, trailer safety braking.
• Hill Descent Control (hill descent control for vehicles with all-wheel drive).
• Driving: Speed Limit Assist, Distance Control, Emergency Lane Assistant, Lane Change Assistant, "Assisted Driving Plus", "Route Speed Control", "Stop at traffic lights".
• Feedback at the steering wheel: Vibration level, light elements.
• Trailer operation: Type, "Max. speed".

The systems do not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the systems cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.
