MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the Attentiveness Assistant settings in your MINI with Operating System 9.

The break recommendation function of the Attentiveness Assistant in your MINI with Operating System 9 detects driver fatigue during long, monotonous journeys, e.g. on motorways. If your current driving behaviour differs significantly from the learned driving behaviour, the system recommends a break.

Requirements:

  • The Attentiveness Assistant is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.

System limits:

The function of the Attentiveness Assistant may be limited in the following situations:

    • If the time is set incorrectly.
    • With a predominantly driven speed below approx. 65 km/h.
    • When driving in a sporty manner, e.g. when accelerating strongly or cornering quickly.
    • In active driving situations, e.g. in case of frequent lane changes.
    • In poor road condition.
    • In case of strong crosswinds.

The operating principle may vary depending on the equipment of your MINI.

Step 1:
Press the direct access button "Driving settings menu" in the control centre.

Alternatively, select the following in the MINI system: Apps menu > "VEHICLE" (menu bar at the top) > "Driving settings".

 

Step 2:

Select "Driver assistance".

 

Step 3:
Select "Safety and warnings".

 

Step 4:
Select "Attentiveness Assistant".

 

Step 5:
Select the desired setting.
