MINI how-to guide: This is how you activate or deactivate the Attentiveness Assistant with emergency stop in your MINI with Operating System 9.

Requirements:

• Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the option "Driving Assistant Professional" (SA 5AU).

Important notes:

• When the Emergency Stop Assistant is triggered:
  • you receive an indication in the MINI Interaction Unit;
  • the system takes over vehicle guidance until your vehicle is stationary;
  • the system switches on the hazard warning lights;
  • the system automatically triggers an emergency call, depending on the equipment of your MINI.
• You can also trigger an emergency call manually in the MINI Interaction Unit when the Emergency Stop Assistant is triggered.
• You can abort the Emergency Stop Assistant at any time, e.g. by pressing hard on the accelerator pedal or steering hard into the opposite direction.
• The system does not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the systems cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.

System limits:

• The system is available from speeds of approx. 70 km/h.
