The exit warning in your MINI with Operating System 9 helps you to avoid accidents. The system can alert the passengers when they open the doors and a risk of collision with approaching persons or objects is detected.
Requirements:
- The exit warning of persons or objects approaching from behind is part of the standard equipment of your MINI with Operating System 9.
- For warnings of persons or objects approaching from the front, your MINI requires the option "Driving Assistant Professional" (SA 5AU).
Important notes:
-
The system monitors the vehicle surroundings for a limited time after getting in or parking.
-
A possible risk of collision is indicated by various warning functions.
-
The exit warning is automatically activated after the journey has started, if the function was switched on at the last end of the journey.
System limits:
- The system only takes into account objects located in the detection range of the installed sensors and detected by the system.
- The function of the radar sensors may be limited or unavailable, e.g. if the sensors are dirty, icy or obscured.
- The function of the exit warning may be limited in the following situations:
- The speed of an approaching vehicle is too high or too low.
- In curves.
- In case of completely or partially concealed objects.
- In case of stationary objects.
- In case of pedestrians.
The operating principle may vary depending on the country of delivery and equipment of your MINI.
