The Front Collision Warning with brake intervention in your MINI with Operating System 9 helps you to avoid accidents or reduce accident severity. The system warns you visually and acoustically of an impending collision and brakes automatically in an emergency.
Requirements:
- Front Collision Warning with brake intervention is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.
Important notes:
-
Depending on the equipment, the Front Collision Warning includes a warning function in critical situations, for oncoming traffic, when turning with oncoming traffic, for persons, at road junctions and the Evasion Assistant.
-
The more sensitive you set the warning time, the more visual and acoustic warnings you will receive.
-
The Front Collision Warning is activated by setting the warning time.
-
Depending on the national-market version, the Front Collision Warning is automatically active each time a journey starts.
- The system does not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the system cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.
System limits:
- The system limits of the cameras and radar sensors apply.
- At speeds above approx. 250 km/h, the system is deactivated.
The range of functions, operating principle and system limits vary depending on the country of delivery and the equipment of your BMW.
