The Road Priority Warning in your MINI with Operating System 9 supports you in situations where you have to give way due to road signs or traffic lights. The system warns you if there is a risk of failure to give way at give-way signs, stop signs or red traffic lights.
Requirements:
- Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the option "Driving Assistant Professional" (SA 5AU) ex works.
- The right of way must be clearly regulated by road signs or traffic lights.
Important notes:
- The system warns from a variable minimum speed and up to approx. 80 km/h.
- The selected setting for the warning time is adopted for the next journey.
- Depending on the equipment, the warning is simultaneously displayed in the Head-up Display and in the MINI Interaction Unit.
- The system warns in two stages depending on the current driving situation and the set warning time:
- Advance warning: visually indicated by an icon in the MINI Interaction Unit.
- Acute warning: visually indicated by an icon in the MINI Interaction Unit with additional acoustic signal.
System limits:
- The system only takes into account objects located in the detection range of the installed sensors and detected by the system.
- The function of the camera may be restricted, e.g. in heavy fog, wet conditions or snowfall, on steep hills or dips, in tight bends or when the camera field of view is obscured.
- The function of the Road Priority Warning may be limited in the following situations:
- If road signs or traffic lights are unclear, completely or partially obscured or dirty, poorly visible, twisted, too small or too large.
- In case of road signs that do not comply with the standard.
- In case of road signs that apply to a joining or parallel road.
- In case of country-specific road signs or road layouts.
- At road junctions with flashing traffic lights.
- Up to ten seconds after the drive-ready state was switched on via the Start/Stop switch.
- In case of invalid, outdated or unavailable navigation data.
The availability, operating principle and system limits vary depending on the country of delivery and the equipment of your MINI.
