Speed Limit Assist in your MINI with Operating System 9 helps you to comply with speed limits. Depending on the national-market version, equipment and your settings, you can adopt speed limits automatically or manually.
Requirements:
- Speed Limit Assist is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.
Important notes:
- With the option "Active Cruise Control" (SA 541) and Speed Limit Assist, a detected speed limit is adopted and the distance to the vehicle in front is regulated. You can choose between "Automatic adoption" and "Manual adoption" by pressing the "SET" button on the steering wheel.
- Without the option "Active Cruise Control" (SA 541), Speed Limit Assist adopts a detected speed limit as the maximum possible speed by pressing the "SET" button on the steering wheel.
-
With the "Display current limit" setting, current speed limits are displayed in the MINI Interaction Unit without being adopted. With the "Show Pre-warning" setting, speed limits ahead are also displayed.
-
You can set whether the system should adopt the speed limit exactly or with some tolerance.
- The system does not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the system cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.
System limits:
- The system limits of the cameras apply.
- Depending on the national-market version and equipment of your MINI, upcoming speed limits may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent, e.g. for information from the map data of the navigation system.
- The function may be restricted if road signs are not detected.
The range of functions, operating principle and system limits vary depending on the country of delivery and the equipment of your MINI.
