MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the settings for the speed limit warning in your MINI with Operating System 9.

The speed limit warning in your MINI with Operating System 9 warns you if a set speed limit is exceeded. You can activate the speed limit warning or deactivate it temporarily or permanently depending on the country of delivery and set the speed limit for the warning depending on the country of delivery.

Requirements:

  • The speed limit warning is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.

Important notes:

  • The speed limit warning warns you again if your vehicle exceeds the set speed limit again after falling 5 km/h below it.
  • When driving at speeds of up to approx. 30 km/h, the system warns visually and acoustically as soon as the specified speed is exceeded. The system then issues a warning if the speed limit is exceeded by 3% or more.
  • The system does not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the system cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.

The range of functions may vary depending on the country of delivery of your MINI.

Step 1:
Press the direct access button "Driving settings menu" in the control centre.

Alternatively, select the following in the MINI Interaction Unit: Apps menu > "VEHICLE" (menu bar at the top) > "Driving settings".

 

Step 2:

Select "Driver assistance".

 

Step 3:
Select "Safety and warnings".

 

Step 4:
Select "Speed limit warning".

 

Step 5:
Select the desired setting.
