MINI how-to guide: This is how you switch the car wash view of the parking assistance systems on or off in your MINI with Operating System 9.

The parking assistance systems in your MINI with Operating System 9 support you when parking and manoeuvring or reversing by means of various camera views, among other things. The car wash view assists you when driving into car washes. You can use the display to position your vehicle correctly in the guide rails of the car wash.

Requirements:

  • Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the option "Parking Assistant Plus" (SA 5DN) for the car wash view.
  • The boot lid or tailgate must be closed.

Important notes:

  • To make entering a car wash easier, the car wash view displays your driving lane.

  • Parking view is automatically activated on the MINI Interaction Unit when you press the Parking Assist button in the centre console control panel or select selector lever position "R" when the drive-ready state is switched on.

  • The objects visible on the MINI Interaction Unit may be closer than they are displayed. Do not use the MINI Interaction Unit to estimate the distance to the objects.

System limits:

  • The system limits of the cameras apply.
  • Due to the angles of view, the cameras cannot see the area under your vehicle.
  • The systems cannot detect very low obstacles or protruding objects that are higher up, e.g. wall protrusions.

The range of functions and operating principle of the parking assistance systems vary depending on the country of delivery and the equipment of your MINI.

Step 1:

Press the Parking Assist button in the centre console control panel.

 

Step 2:

Select "Car wash" in the upper selection area of the MINI Interaction Unit.
