MINI how-to guide: This is how you switch the Drive-off Monitoring of the parking assistance systems on or off in your MINI with Operating System 9.

Requirements:

• Drive-off Monitoring is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.
• When the vehicle is stationary, selector lever position "D" or "R" is engaged.
• The system detects an obstacle at close range in front of or behind your vehicle.
• The accelerator pedal is pressed immediately after the selector lever position has been engaged or very strongly.

Important notes:

• If the system detects an obstacle at close range in the area in front of your vehicle when driving forwards, it limits the speed. You may still be able to brake in time.

• When reversing, the system brakes if it detects an obstacle behind the vehicle.

• As soon as the system intervenes, an icon with a corresponding message is displayed.

• The reduction of drive power is eliminated in the following situations:
  • You release the accelerator pedal.
  • You depress the accelerator pedal twice.
  • You have travelled a certain distance.
• Depending on the national-market version, the system is automatically switched on again on the next journey.
• The system does not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the system cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.
