MINI how-to guide: This is how you save an activation point for the panorama view in your MINI with Operating System 9.

Depending on the equipment of your MINI with Operating System 9, you can save up to ten positions as activation points at which panorama view should switch on automatically. Panorama view enables an early view on crossing traffic, e.g. in the case of confusing exits and road junctions.

Requirements:

  • Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the option "Parking Assistant Plus" (SA 5DN) or "Parking Assistant Professional" (SA 5DW).
  • Your MINI requires a mobile connection.
  • You must be logged in to your MINI with your MINI ID.

Important notes:

  • You can save up to ten activation points.

  • You can rename or delete activation points.

  • You can switch the use of the activation points on and off.

  • The activation points can be used when driving forwards and, depending on the national-market version, for reversing.

  • The Rear View Camera and, depending on the equipment, the front camera capture the area next to the vehicle. The camera image is distorted differently in some areas and is therefore not suitable for estimating distances.
  • The system does not relieve you from your responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, the system cannot react appropriately in all traffic situations. There is risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of property damage. Adapt your driving style to the traffic conditions, observe the traffic situation and remain ready to steer and brake at all times so that you can actively intervene if necessary.

The range of functions and system limits vary depending on the country of delivery and the equipment of your MINI.

Step 1:
Drive your MINI to the point where you want the panorama view to switch on automatically and stop.

Step 2:
Press the Parking Assist button in the centre console control panel.

Step 3:
Select "Panorama".

Step 4:
Select "Activation point".

Step 5:
Select "Save activation point".
