What safety does the rollover protection bar provide in my MINI Cooper Convertible?

The rollover protection bar in your MINI Cooper Convertible offers you optimum protection. In the event of a vehicle rollover, the rollover protection bars extend by spring force and lock positively. This applies to vehicles with a fabric softtop both when open and when closed. This, together with the reinforced windscreen frame, ensures survival space for the passengers.
