MINI how-to guide: This is how you save a departure time for charging your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9.

You can charge the high-voltage battery of your MINI electric vehicle for a set departure time. The charging process is then controlled so that the charging target is reached at the stored departure time.

Requirements:

  • To save a departure time in the MINI App, Remote Services must be booked and active for your vehicle.
  • Your MINI and your smartphone require a mobile connection. Avoid places with poor mobile phone reception, such as underground car parks.

Important notes:

  • You can choose from the following settings:
    • "Once": This departure time is only valid for the next 24 hours and pauses all other departure times until then.
    • "Weekly": You can set up to three weekly recurring departure times.
  • The set departure time is deactivated if you do not observe it three times in a row.
  • Plug in a charging cable at the appropriate time.
  • Improper handling of electrical current can lead to electric shock due to high voltages or high currents. Even if it is indicated that the high-voltage battery is empty, the high-voltage system is still under high voltage. There is danger of injury, risk of fire, danger to life and danger of property damage. Observe the general safety regulations when handling electrical current. Never touch or modify live parts, e.g. orange-coloured high-voltage cables, even if the high-voltage battery is empty.
