MINI how-to guide: This is how you set a charging target for charging your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9.

MINI recommends a state of charge of between 10 and 80 percent to optimise the service life of the high-voltage battery of your MINI electric vehicle. You can set a charging target in the MINI Interaction Unit or in the MINI App.

Important notes:

  • You can increase or decrease the charging target by 5 percent at a time.

  • You cannot set a charging target below 20%.

  • You can also change the charging target in the MINI App after starting the charging process.

  • Improper handling of electrical current can lead to electric shock due to high voltages or high currents. Even if it is indicated that the high-voltage battery is empty, the high-voltage system is still under high voltage. There is danger of injury, risk of fire, danger to life and danger of property damage. Observe the general safety regulations when handling electrical current. Never touch or modify live parts, e.g. orange-coloured high-voltage cables, even if the high-voltage battery is empty.
