MINI how-to guide: This is how you set the level of energy recovery in your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9.

Through "CHARGE" energy recovery or recuperation, your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9 partially recharges the high-voltage battery of your vehicle during the journey. When you take your foot off the accelerator pedal, the electric motor of your MINI converts the kinetic energy of your vehicle into electrical energy. You can set the level of energy recovery for driving in selector lever position "D".

Requirements:

  • You can set the level of energy recovery in any MINI electric vehicle with MINI Operating System 9.

Important notes:

  • In selector lever position "B", deceleration and thus energy recovery are maximised.
  • The greater the level of energy recovery, the more energy is fed into the high-voltage battery.
  • You can select the following settings for energy recovery when driving in selector lever position "D":
    • "Adaptive": Deceleration is automatically adapted to the respective driving situation.
    • "Low": Your vehicle decelerates less.
    • "Medium": Your vehicle decelerates moderately.
    • "High": Your vehicle decelerates heavily.

Step 1:
Press the Driving settings button in the centre console.

Alternatively, select the following on the MINI Interaction Unit: Apps menu > "VEHICLE" (menu bar at the top) > "Driving settings".

 

Step 2:

Select "Drive and suspension".

 

Step 3:

Select "Recuperation in gear selector position D".

 

Step 4:

Select the desired setting.
