How does the BMW Group manufacture fuel cell systems?

The BMW Group produces highly efficient fuel cell systems in small series in its own competence centre for hydrogen in Munich. The production of fuel cell systems takes place in several steps using flow production. First, the individual fuel cells are automatically stacked into a so-called fuel cell stack. All other components are then assembled to form a complete fuel cell system. Finally, each system undergoes a function check under real conditions on the test stand.
