You can select a preferred time frame for charging the high-voltage battery in your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle or in the MINI App. The charging process is then controlled so that the charging target is reached at the stored departure time. In this charging mode, the high-voltage battery is charged preferably within the selected time frame, but not exclusively. For example, if the preferred time frame is not sufficient to have your vehicle fully charged up to the desired charging target at the stored departure time, your vehicle will also charge outside this time frame. If the departure time is outside the preferred time frame and you climatise your vehicle at the departure time, your vehicle will also charge the energy required for that outside the preferred time frame. Please note: After plugging in, the vehicle first calculates whether the preferred time frame is sufficient to charge your vehicle up to the desired charging target at the stored departure time. During this calculation, the MINI App briefly shows an active charging process. The charging mode "Charge in time frame" is only available for AC charging sessions.
