Depending on the country of delivery, model and equipment, you can precondition your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle for departure using the Charge & Climate Timer in the MINI App. The automatic air conditioning cools or heats the interior to the temperature last set in the vehicle.
Requirements:
- Your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6) with production date from 03/2018 requires the option "2-zone automatic air conditioning" (SA 534).
- The automatic air conditioning with 2-zone control is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with MINI Operating System 9.
- The Remote Services must be booked and active for your vehicle.
- The battery of your vehicle must be sufficiently charged.
- Your smartphone and your MINI require a mobile connection. Avoid places with poor mobile phone reception, such as underground car parks.
Important notes:
- To air-condition your MINI immediately, tap the fan icon in the "Vehicle" tab.
- The maximum duration of the ventilation is 30 minutes. It depends on the outside and interior temperature.
- To ventilate your MINI with combustion engine at a departure time, select "Plan ventilation" ("Remote Services" menu).
- You can select the following settings for your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle in the Charge & Climate Timer:
- "Only the upcoming departure time": The set departure time is only valid for the next 24 hours and pauses all other departure times until then.
- "Weekly": You can set up to three weekly recurring departure times.
- For maximum range at departure time, your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle should be plugged in with preconditioning for departure.
- In MINI models with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6), the MINI App only updates the settings for the "Weekly Timer" after your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle updates its vehicle status the next time, for example after each locking or as soon as a charging cable is plugged in or unplugged.
Depending on the model and equipment of your MINI, the availability and the range of functions may vary.
Step 1:
Select "Charge & Climate settings" (CHARGE).
Step 2:
Select "Precondition for departure".
Step 3:
Activate "Precondition for departure" using the slider on the right.
Step 4:
Activate only the upcoming or up to three weekly departure times using the slider on the right.
Step 5:
Select a time and (for weekly departure times) a day of the week for the activated departure time and save your settings.
Step 6:
Confirm with "APPLY TO MY MINI".
