MINI how-to guide: This is how you add an electricity tariff for a specific charging location in the MINI App.

You can save individual electricity tariffs for specific charging locations for your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle in the MINI App. This allows you to view the costs per kWh and the total costs of a charging process based on your saved tariff. This makes it easier for you to compare electricity tariffs from different providers at public charging stations.

Requirements:

  • Your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle must be added to your MINI ID in the MINI App.
  • The Remote Services must be booked and activated.
  • You must have consented to data transfer and vehicle tracking in the "Privacy" menu in your vehicle.
  • Your smartphone and your MINI require a mobile connection. Avoid places with poor mobile phone reception, such as underground car parks.

Important notes:

  • Make sure that your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle is active in the "Vehicle" tab.
  • Cost estimates for completed charging processes are based on the electricity tariffs you have specified in the MINI App.
  • You can enter two different prices at certain times under "Two tariffs" (main tariff and secondary tariff).

Step 1:

Select "CHARGING" ("Vehicle" tab).

 

Step 2:

Select "Charging history" (STATISTICS).

 

Step 3:

Select a charging process from the list.

Step 4:

Select "Manage costs".

 

Step 5:

Select "MANAGE IN CHARGING WALLET".

 

Step 6:

Select "ADD ELECTRICITY TARIFF".

 

Step 7:

Enter a name for the electricity tariff.

 

Step 8:

Select one or more charging locations and confirm with "READY" (top left).

 

Step 9:

Choose between "One tariff" or "Two tariffs".

 

Step 10:

Enter one price (for one tariff) or two prices (for two tariffs) in EUR/kWh.

 

Step 11:

Confirm with "SAVE" (top right).
