Which data connection does Apple CarPlay use for my connected iPhone in my MINI with a MINI Controller?

After the connection setup via Bluetooth®, your MINI with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6) uses a direct connection via Wi-Fi to your Apple iPhone for Apple CarPlay and terminates the Bluetooth® connection.
