Depending on the equipment of the MINI Countryman (2023), the Reversing Assistant remembers the last 50 (Parking Assistant) or 200 (Parking Assistant Professional) metres driven at a maximum speed of 35 km/h including your steering wheel movements and enables you to autonomously steer while reversing along the same route. To reverse, you must operate the accelerator pedal yourself. If you drive faster than 10 km/h, the steering intervention is deactivated by the Reversing Assistant and you have to take over the steering. The distance of the remaining route is shown in the image of the Reversing Assist Camera in the MINI Interaction Unit. The Reversing Assistant remembers the distance travelled even after locking and can still steer automatically when you continue the journey. Please note: The Reversing Assistant does not react to obstacles in the reversing area. You must monitor the rear and side areas of the vehicle yourself to avoid collisions with obstacles. The function is not available for the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman (2023).
