What are the advantages of the Digital Key Plus in the MINI Countryman (2023)?

The Digital Key Plus is a digital vehicle key on your compatible smartphone (iOS or Android) or Apple Watch that allows you to conveniently and securely unlock, lock and start your MINI Countryman (2023) without taking the device out of your pocket. The Digital Key Plus is available with the optional equipment "Comfort Access" (SA 322). Using "ultra-wideband" (UWB) mobile technology, your MINI detects where you are approaching and how far you are. As soon as you come within a distance of approximately three metres, your MINI begins to wake up and indicates this by a welcome scenario using the exterior and interior lighting. When you get in, the personal settings for your driver profile (MINI ID) are loaded and your smartphone is connected via Bluetooth®. A welcome window appears on the central instrument ("MINI Interaction Unit") with a personal greeting, suggestions for activating or setting up services or notes on vehicle functions or available upgrades. Please note: Depending on the country of delivery, the digital key with a limited range of functions is available as an alternative.
