How can I set up and use my Apple Watch as a MINI Digital Key Plus?

When setting up the MINI Digital Key Plus on the iPhone for the first time, you have the opportunity to activate your Apple Watch directly as an additional vehicle key.

Alternatively, the MINI Digital Key Plus can be transmitted to the Apple Watch at any later time. It is a prerequisite that the key must already have been set up on the iPhone. To do this, open the Watch app on your iPhone, select the "Wallet & Apple Pay" menu item and add your car key to the Apple Watch.
