With which mobile devices can I use the MINI Digital Key Plus in my MINI with Operating System 9?

Depending on the country, model and equipment of your MINI with MINI Operating System 9 and your smartphone or smartwatch model, you can lock or unlock and start your MINI with the MINI Digital Key Plus.

If your country and your mobile device support the "ultra-wideband" (UWB) mobile standard, your MINI will unlock automatically when you approach it. To start the engine, your mobile device just needs to be in the passenger area.

If your country or your mobile device does not support the "ultra-wideband" (UWB) mobile standard, data is transmitted via the "Near Field Communication" (NFC) mobile standard. You then need to hold your smartphone or smartwatch against the door handle to unlock the vehicle and place it in the smartphone tray to start the engine.

Please note: The following mobile devices are officially supported by MINI. Newer devices may be compatible with the MINI Digital Key Plus, but MINI does not offer support for these. The minimum versions mentioned for iOS and Android apply to the basic functionality of the MINI Digital Key Plus. Advanced functions, such as Remote Control Parking, sometimes have higher requirements.

The following mobile devices from Apple, Google, Samsung and Motorola support the "ultra-wideband" (UWB) mobile standard (with automatic unlocking function when approaching the vehicle) when using the MINI Digital Key Plus:
