What are the benefits of the Setup Card for the MINI Digital Key Plus for my MINI with Operating System 9?

The scope of delivery of your MINI with Operating System 9 (from 07/2025 or 09/2025 depending on the model) includes a Setup Card for setting up the main key for the MINI Digital Key Plus via the "Near Field Communication" (NFC) mobile standard. The exception is the MINI Cooper Convertible, which will continue to be supplied with two physical vehicle keys from 07/2025 onwards and will receive a Setup Card for the MINI Digital Key Plus from 07/2026. To start the setup, hold the Setup Card to your smartphone or scan the QR code on the rear side of the Setup Card with your smartphone. Please note: For security reasons, keep the Setup Card in a safe place outside your vehicle after the setup of the main key for the MINI Digital Key Plus. You only need the Setup Card to set up the main key for the MINI Digital Key Plus, which you can then share with other people in the Wallet app on your smartphone.

With the "Comfort Access" optional equipment (OE 322), the MINI Countryman and the MINI Cooper with a combustion engine from 07/2025, the MINI Cooper Electric and the MINI Aceman Electric from 09/2025 will be delivered worldwide with only one physical vehicle key (depending on the model, different in Brazil, China, Canada and the USA), a Setup Card for the MINI Digital Key Plus and a Service Card. The MINI Cooper Convertible will continue to be supplied with two physical car keys and a Service Card from 07/2025; from 07/2026, a Setup Card for the MINI Digital Key Plus will also be included.
