No. If your MINI locks despite a Digital Key remaining in the vehicle, this is not a malfunction.
For reasons of safety and theft-proofing, the vehicle can be locked even if another valid Digital Key is in the vehicle – for example, on a smartphone or smartwatch. This behaviour is in line with the intended vehicle function.
As a result, no repair measures or software fixes are required.
This relates to MINI vehicles with Operating System 9.
