Why does my MINI lock itself even though there is another Digital Key in the vehicle?

If several Digital Keys have been set up for your MINI, the vehicle might lock even if another valid Digital Key is in the vehicle interior – for example, on a smartphone or smartwatch.

This corresponds to the intended vehicle function and serves to ensure safety and provide theft-proofing. The locking is controlled by the Digital Key used to exit the vehicle. Any other Digital Keys present in the vehicle do not prevent it from locking.

This relates to MINI vehicles with Operating System 9.
