Low outside temperatures can affect the range of your MINI electric vehicle. Reasons for this include, amongst other things, the use of winter tyres, as well as the heating of the interior and the high-voltage battery. In addition, the range displayed can decrease after the vehicle has been parked, due to the high-voltage battery cooling down.
MINI recommends connecting your electric vehicle to the charger at low temperatures and allowing the interior to be pre-conditioned before setting off. This makes it possible to optimise the comfort and range.
