Does the Driver Attention Camera (infrared camera) in my MINI record images or videos?

No. The Driver Attention Camera (infrared camera) is not intended for video recording or vehicle monitoring.

It assists various driver assistance systems in assessing the driver’s level of attention. For this purpose, information on, for example, eye openness, line of sight or head position is taken into account.

The availability of individual features depends on the model, equipment, market and software version.
