MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the settings for the MINI Modes and MINI Experience Modes in your MINI with Operating System 9.

The MINI Modes change the drivability and the appearance of displays and lighting in your MINI with Operating System 9. In addition to the MINI Modes, there are also the MINI Experience Modes, which adapt the lighting effects in the passenger area, for example. You can change the settings for the following MINI Modes: "Go-Kart Mode" and "Green Mode". You can also change the settings for the MINI Experience Modes "Personal Mode" and "Balance Mode".

Requirements:

  • MINI Modes are part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.
  • For the MINI Experience Modes, your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the option "MINI Experience Modes" (SA 4VF).
  • Depending on the country of delivery, model and equipment of your MINI with Operating System 9, the availability of individual MINI Modes in the standard equipment may vary.

Important notes:

  • You cannot change the settings for the MINI Mode "Core Mode" and the MINI Experience Modes "Timeless Mode", "Vivid Mode" and "Trail Mode".
  • Depending on the selected MINI Mode or MINI Experience Mode and the equipment of your MINI, the MINI Modes and MINI Experience Modes influence, for example, the drive, steering, chassis, Cruise Control, the displays in the MINI Interaction Unit, the comfort functions in the passenger area and the MINI sound.
  • You can set the MINI Modes "Core" and "Green" (in MINI electric vehicles with software version from 07/2024) and the MINI Experience Modes "Balance", "Personal", "Timeless", "Vivid" and "Trail" as the start mode. The start mode is active when the standby state is switched on.
  • You can display the specific representations of a mode in the MINI Interaction Unit under "Experience View".

Step 1:

Press the "EXPERIENCES" switch for the MINI Modes in the centre console control panel until your desired MINI Mode or MINI Experience Mode is displayed.

 

Step 2:

On the MINI Interaction Unit, select the icon for the settings (gear icon).

 

Step 3:

Select the desired settings.
