MINI how-to guide: This is how you update apps and services in your MINI with Operating System 9.

Depending on the equipment of your MINI with Operating System 9, you can use a variety of apps and digital services for navigation, infotainment and comfort. These are continuously synchronised with the MINI Cloud via the built-in SIM card. You can update apps and services manually if required or if instructed to do so by a MINI employee.

Requirements:

  • Your MINI requires a mobile connection. Avoid places with poor mobile phone reception, such as underground car parks.
  • The date and time must be set correctly in the MINI system.

Important notes:

  • By updating the apps and services in your MINI, current applications remain active (e.g. active route guidance in the navigation system or audio playback) and your data and settings remain saved.
  • MINI recommends activating the automatic update of vehicle apps.
  • If you cannot update anything, this means that all services and apps in your vehicle are up to date.

Step 1:
Open the Apps menu.

Step 2:
Select "All".


Step 3:
Select "MINI Connected Store".

 

Step 4:

Select "Manage".

 

Step 5:

Select "SERVICES" or "APPS".

 

Step 6:

Select "Automatic updates" to automatically update vehicle apps or select the three dots next to the service or app you want to update.
