How does the Collision Warning with light braking function work in my MINI?

Collision Warning with light braking function in your MINI is intended to actively support you at defined speeds in the prevention of rear-end collisions or to mitigate the consequences of an accident.
The driver assistance system warns in several stages, already conditions the brakes and reduces the speed autonomously if necessary.

A camera in the windscreen of your MINI monitors a sufficiently large area in front of the vehicle and warns you of a collision with a vehicle in front in a speed range of 85 - 250 km/h and preconditions the brakes. The integrated Brake Assist performs an active brake intervention up to maximum deceleration in a speed range of 5 - 85 km/h.

The speed ranges for Collision Warning with light braking function vary depending on the model, production date and booked optional equipment of your MINI. Further information can be found in the MINI Driver’s Guide App or in the operating instructions for your MINI.
