Why is the message "Distance Control cannot be activated" displayed in my MINI?

If the message "Distance Control cannot be activated" appears in the instrument cluster of your MINI or in the MINI Head-up display, this may have various reasons depending on the production date and the optional equipment booked for your MINI:

1. You are accelerating. Release the accelerator to activate Distance Control (ACC with Stop&Go).
2. You are driving too slowly. The Distance Control (ACC with Stop&Go) can only be activated from a speed of 30 km/h.
3. Bad visibility. The Distance Control (ACC with Stop&Go) uses a camera. If its function is temporarily limited, e.g. due to extreme weather conditions or a heavily polluted windscreen, the "Distance Control cannot be activated".
