With the option "Parking Assistant Professional" (SA 5DW), your MINI with Operating System 9 can park and leave parking spaces independently. The Parking Assistant measures potential parking spaces as you drive past and announces them with an acoustic signal and visually in the MINI system (MINI Interaction Unit) when the parking view is activated. Once you have selected a parking manoeuvre in the parking view, the Parking Assistant starts the parking manoeuvre and takes over the steering, gear selection and longitudinal guidance during the entire process. The Parking Assistant ends the parking manoeuvre with an acoustic signal and shifts the transmission into "P". When manoeuvring out of parallel or perpendicular parking spaces, the Parking Assistant automatically puts the vehicle into a position that allows it to drive off without further manoeuvring. The Manoeuvre Assistant provides you with even more comprehensive support: It automatically takes over the complete driving task for up to 10 stored manoeuvring routes, including accelerating, braking, steering and switching between forward and reverse gear. You can also control the Parking Assistant and Manoeuvre Assistant from outside your vehicle using the MINI App on your smartphone. Please note: You remain responsible for constantly monitoring traffic during automated parking and manoeuvring and must be able to intervene at any time.
