The rain sensor regulates the windscreen wipers and the low-beam headlight during rain and at twilight. The rain sensor is located at the upper edge of the windscreen, detects drops of water on the windscreen using infrared technology and adjusts the wiper frequency of the windscreen wipers continuously to the conditions. The windscreen has light sensors which react to reduced visibility, for example at twilight, in the dark or in tunnels, and automatically activate the low-beam headlight.
