Why does the rain sensor in my MINI sometimes switch to the fastest wiper speed when it drizzles only lightly?
The rain sensor in your MINI measures the size and number of drops on the windscreen via infrared signals. This system does not have the same perception as the human eye, but can only estimate the appropriate wiping frequency comparatively roughly. If necessary, deactivate the rain sensor and operate the wipers using the lever.
