With this innovative damper technology, the suspension reacts dynamically to the drive mode selected in the MINI Driving Mode. Compared to the standard version, the dynamic chassis design allows for more comfortable driving in MID and GREEN Mode and an even sportier experience in SPORT Mode via two different characteristic curves. An additional valve acting on the tight side takes over the task of smoothing out sudden pressure peaks within the damper. The damping force is adjusted within 50 to 100 milliseconds. Depending on the driving situation and road conditions, the damping forces can be reduced by up to 50 percent. This significantly increases driving comfort and confidence of your MINI when compensating for slight bumps in the road, while maintaining the sporty characteristics of the damping when turning in, for example.
