What are the advantages of the Automatic Start/Stop function in my MINI?

The Automatic Start/Stop function in your MINI automatically switches off the combustion engine during a stop (e.g. at traffic lights or in case of congestion). Depending on the model and equipment of your MINI, the engine is already deactivated at low speeds. Compared to a permanently running engine, fuel consumption and emissions are reduced. The drive-ready state remains on. The engine starts automatically for driving off. The Automatic Start/Stop function is part of the basic equipment of your MINI. Please note: In the "Sport" drive mode, the Automatic Start/Stop function is generally deactivated in favour of a sporty response of the drive.
