How can I save fuel or electrical energy in my MINI?

Your MINI has many innovative technologies for reducing fuel consumption and emissions. With a moderate driving style and regular service, you can influence both energy consumption and environmental pollution. You can remove or dismount unnecessary load or add-on parts (such as additional mirrors, roof racks or rear carriers). Additional weight increases energy consumption and add-on parts to your vehicle affect aerodynamics. Make sure that the tyre inflation pressure is correct. Too low tyre inflation pressure increases rolling resistance as well as energy consumption and tyre wear. Close the windows and the glass sunroof as increased drag can also increase energy consumption. With an anticipatory and even driving style you can reduce fuel consumption. Make sure to switch off functions that are not currently required (such as seat or rear window heating) and have your MINI serviced regularly. With these measures you can save fuel or electrical energy and thus increase the range.
