The WLTP driving cycle in your vehicle shows various phases of your vehicle’s consumption and emissions, which depend on your driving style, among other things. Therefore, driving data was collected worldwide for the WLTP procedure. Based on these data, four representative phases with different average speeds were defined: slow (low), medium (medium), fast (high) and especially fast (extra high). Within each of these phases, the vehicle accelerates, brakes, stops, etc. to varying degrees in order to depict driving situations close to everyday life. The combination of these phases results in the driving cycle, which is communicated as a combined value in the manufacturer's specifications. Since electric and hybrid vehicles are particularly used in cities, their driving cycle includes a fifth phase: the city phase. It results from the average speeds low and medium.
