How are consumption figures for electric and hybrid vehicles measured according to WLTP?

The WLTP driving cycle in your vehicle shows various phases of your vehicle’s consumption and emissions, which depend on your driving style, among other things. Since electric and hybrid vehicles are mainly used in the city, WLTP envisages their own additional fifth phase – the city phase – in addition to the four phases low, medium, high and extra high. This combines the speeds of the phases that best reflect the driving situation in the city: low and medium. In this way, more realistic range information can be formulated.
