What do the colours of the indicator light on the charging socket of my MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle mean?

The indicator light on the charging socket of your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle informs you about the charging status. If the status display lights up white, you can connect the charging cable. If the charging cable is locked, the colour changes to orange. If the status display flashes orange, the charging process is being prepared. If the status display flashes yellow, your vehicle's high-voltage battery is being charged. A continuous yellow light means: The charging process is paused. A red flashing light indicates a fault during the charging process. If the display lights up green, the charging process is complete. When the vehicle is locked, the indicator light goes out after some time. When the vehicle is unlocked, the yellow indicator light flashes permanently. The other indicator lights go out after some time. Please note: Depending on the model and equipment of your MINI, the colours of the indicator light may vary.
