What do the colours of the LED display on the charging socket of my MINI electric or Plug-In Hybrid vehicle mean?

The LED display on the charging socket of your MINI electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle informs you about the status of the current charging process. If the status display flashes orange, the vehicle charging has been initialised. If the status display flashes yellow, the high-voltage battery is in active state of charge when the vehicle is unlocked. If the charging plug is not plugged correctly or if an error occurred during charging, this state is indicated by flashing the charge status indicator in red. When the vehicle is locked, the charge status indicators go out after some time.
